Description:
Polyvinylpyrrolidone, VA series products is a synthetic water-soluble copolymer consisting of N-vinylpyrrolidone and vinyl acetate copolymer in a certain random that is soluble both in water and in alcohol. It can be classified as two grades, one is cosmetic grade, the other is pharmaceutical grade.
VA ratio 60:40. It is used as a dry binder in tablet, as a granulating auxiliary and as a film-forming agent.
Use:
It is a highly effective film forming adhesive. It is used primarily as a tablet binder, Although its unique properties make it useful in the formulation and coating of a variety of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
In the cosmetic industry, PVP/VA forms hard, glossy, water-removable films. Its viscosity, softening point and water sensitivity vary with VP/VA ratio. The applications of Copovidone VA 64 rely mainly on its good binding and filmforming properties, its affinity to hydrophilic and hydrophobic surfaces and its relatively low hygroscopicity.
Storage: The storage temperature should be kept below 25 °C.
Packing: In 25kg fiber drum.inner lined with PE bags. |
